Simply put Illuminate is not just who we are, it’s what we do. Illuminate Lives to LIGHT. LIGHT has meaning on many different levels, but in this case it’ an acronym for our purpose of existence - Love God, Increase Involvement, Grow Together, Heal the Hurting, and Teach the Truth.

Illuminate is for any junior high or high school student who wants something more than what just school, media, and empty relationships have left them with. Illuminate is for those students who are looking for something real and relevant in a world of gloss and glitz. If you’re a student looking for truth in a world full of confusion then Illuminate just might be the place for you.
There are a lot of different ways to use the word “light”. It can be used as a verb, a noun, or even a pronoun [that’s a name]. In this case it is being used as a name. In the Bible, in John 8:12, Jesus says, “I am the light of the world” We believe that it is only through and in him that we find real purpose, and real truth. And in this day and age real truth and purpose seem to be harder and harder to see. That is why we need Light.
